Cole Cash is here 11 days late

I was induced yesterday morning! I got hooked to an IV at 9:30 and he was born just before 2pm at 7lbs 11oz. He is as healthy as we prayed for and I feel great! We are so blessed by our little miracle and what a true miracle he is.

Strawberry Picking

We went strawberry picking entirely too far away yesterday and had the best time! We went to one place and they didn't have u-pick so they sent us to the closest place which was very far away. I was a little nervous my water was going to break as we are driving down this bumpy dirt road back to the patch, but thank God we made it in and out safely. The kids loved eating all the strawberries. They were everywhere and everytime Mack would get one, she'd yell out, "I found one!" Jack on the other hand enjoyed picking out the white ones that weren't ready yet. It was a great day!
Tim's off now until August. His company's shutting down the month of July and we are just going to try and enjoy every minute we have together as hopefully he'll be working full time again soon!
I'll be induced on Wednesday evening, so we are anxiously awaiting our little ones arrival!

All of our upadates

  • I wish I was posting pictures of a new baby, but you all know my babies like the cozy spot inside me. I go back to the Dr. on Tuesday and then maybe schedule a date to be induced. I would rather just let it happen naturally since I had two smooth deliveries, but we'll see how I feel on Tuesday. I'm hardly dialated right now and am only having a few contractions.
  • Our house is still up for sale and I would say we are averaging two showings a week which is great, but no offers! Unfortunately a house down the street that's 800 square feet bigger just dropped 60 grand and is now about the same price as ours. We're doomed!
  • Tim is in his third week of only working 3 days and although we LOVE him being at home, I know it's really hard on him. We just don't see an end in site. I almost laugh when I actually do go to a store and see what things cost full price since everything I seem to buy I get at a mom2mom sale or garage sales and man, have we gotten some deals :) I have been substitute teaching when Tim's been off which has been great for me, but school's ending and so is my subbing. It's been really fun to be back in the classroom.
  • And lastly...my lease ran out at the end of November on my Rendevous and well, we haven't gotten a new one yet. Tim's mom let us borrow hers while they were in AZ and my Dad let us borrow his for a few weeks, but we have officially been with one car since April. I drive Tim to work some days and other days we just go without a car. Luckily we live in a fun downtown area so we are able to walk most places including the grocery store. Anyway, we have been in search of a Minivan, and just haven't found the one yet! What a decision!
Now that concludes all the craziness going on in the Shoskey household. That's why Tim and I are so excited for this baby to come, so something can be settled! We just don't know what the future may hold! The best part about it all is that the kids have no idea that anything big is even going on! Oh, to be them :)

5 years!!

Last Friday Tim and I celebrated 5 years of marriage! It's hard to believe that we've been married that long and then again, it's hard to believe all that's happened in 5 years! There's a whole lot to be negative about when we think about Tim's job, the economy and the unknown's the future will bring, but I thank God for Tim every day! It's the one constant in our life that we know won't change! Together, we are strong and can get through this economic mess that just isn't getting better. I thought my love for him was strong when we got married, but I had no idea how much stronger it could get!
